Marty Morales – Advanced Foot & Ankle Work (2.0 CEUs)
Description Of Advanced Foot & Ankle Work
Working the ankle & foot with precision
Have you ever felt like the feet & ankles were a bit of a blind spot in your practice?
Do you want to become a master of addressing foot and ankle issues in your clients with precision and confidence?
If you’ve ever felt this way before, this course is just what you’re looking for!
Why Focus on Foot & Ankle Work?
Our feet and ankles quite literally carry us through our daily lives. They dutifully propel us forward whether we’re walking through the grocery store or beating our PR in our most recent marathon. We slide them into our shoes each day and often don’t really think of them until they suffer injury of some sort.
Sometimes I feel the feet get the same short end of the stick in most manual therapy trainings. In most basic trainings, students are offered a few simple techniques for the feet to throw into their routine. But this barely scratches the surface of the intricate and detailed manual therapy that can be applied to the feet!
For years I told myself I wanted to create this course and now it’s finally here. I have put together all the techniques I use in my practice not only to execute precise manual therapy on the feet, but also to address specific injuries including sprains, intermetatarsal neuromas, and bunions! I also find this work to be essential when helping my clients refine their gait and address postural issues.
Whether you want to expand your toolkit when it comes to foot and ankle work or you want to learn how to assist your clients who are struggling injuries in these territories, this class will help you achieve your goal.
In this course, you will:
- Gain an understanding of basic anatomy in relation to the foot and ankle
- Learn the pathology of common injuries including sprains, intermetatarsal neuroma, and bunions
- Learn specific manual therapy techniques to work the foot and ankle
- Learn specific manual therapy techniques to help your clients who’ve recently suffered a sprain in the foot or ankle or are struggling with an intermetatarsal neuroma or bunion
- This class also includes a downloadable handout reviewing the Concepts of Palpation and all the content covered in the course!
After taking this course, you will be able to tailor your foot and ankle work to the client at hand by utilizing the Concepts of Palpation of the Morales Method®. You will know how to safely and effectively address even the tiniest nooks and crannies of the feet and ankles. And finally, you will be able to combine the concepts of palpation with knowledge of the specific pelvic floor territories in order to understand how to treat issues like sprains, bunions, and intermetatarsal neuromas. These rarely taught techniques will set you apart from your peers and give you the tools to help more clients get out of pain.
